This week saw the Clarets travel up to Catterick for their penultimate away game. On what was a mild morning, it was primed for a perfect game of football and it didn’t disappoint!
Both teams started the game brightly knocking the ball around with confidence trying to gauge each other and chances were at a premium.
Despite playing uphill, the Clarets defence remained staunch, limiting a threatening Catterick attack to very few chances.
When did chances fall the way of the Clarets, they also found themselves faced with a stubborn defence willing to block shots at whatever cost and just couldn’t find the back of the net.
As the second half commenced, fresh legs were needed on both teams with several changes being made.
By this time, the pitch was now starting to break up (from the previous weeks miserable weather) and the game became more open and each side took it in turns to launch attacks...........
