Sowerby building restarts...

Work is starting again on the affordable housing development on Back Lane which was disrupted by the collapse of the previous contractor Tolent. The new builder chosen by Karbon Homes is T Manners & Sons, who are already working on Karbon’s other Sowerby sit in Saxty Way.

The company claims to be the oldest family-owned business in the north east, dating back to 1860.

After taking stock of the state of the site and clearing some debris, the work on the 64 homes will restart and it has been suggested that it will carry on into 2024. ............
