TRACTORS FOR HERRIOT HOSPICE...

The Market Place in Thirsk was busier than ever on Sunday last, not only with the monthly Artisan Market, but also with a procession of vintage tractors, organized by The Yorkshire Vet himself, Peter Wright, in support of the Herriot Hospice Homecare appeal.

The weather was on their side, and there was much merry banter from the generally rugged and mature owners of a still vigorous but smaller breed of farm equipment.

Try getting more than two or three of the current tractors into the Market Place – we have all had to pull onto a grass verge to avoid being pushed aside by one of them............
