Thirsk Falcons U12s Blues vs U12 TIBS...

The Blues played their penultimate game of the season this morning on a blustery sunny day and served up the perfect Mother’s Day present for the mums watching from the sidelines.

The strong breeze would be a factor throughout the match so Thirsk knew they had to make the most of it in the first half while they were playing with the wind behind them.

The Blues set their stall out early to dominate possession and break through the lines with speed making good use of some great movement and quick passing to catch TIBS out of position.

With the first half reaching its middle point, Ozzie played a wonderful through ball taking out the entire defence which Kai was able to latch onto in the penalty area, he took his time and waited for the keeper to commit and calmly slotted it through his legs with his left foot to open the scoring.

Thirsk’s defending in the first half had been a little panicked and rushed at times leading to miss-hit clearances but they were able to do enough to keep the ball out of their net and restrict TIBS to very few chances.
