Thirsk and Sowerby Harriers: A Royal Celebration and Easter Roundup

On Wednesday evening, Thirsk and Sowerby Harriers were officially presented with The King’s Award for Voluntary Service (KAVS) by the Lord-Lieutenant of North Yorkshire, Mrs Jo Ropner.

As the highest award for UK volunteer groups, it recognizes the club’s outstanding commitment to “encouraging and enabling physical activity for fitness and wellbeing.”

The ceremony at Sowerby Sports Village saw a fantastic turnout to celebrate our vital role in the community.
