After what felt like a long spell away from the pitch, the Falcons U7s returned to action with a fantastic showing on a cold and windy trip to Richmond.

Any concerns about rustiness quickly faded as the team produced a confident, energetic performance full of effort, teamwork and smiles.

The opening game began at a lively pace, with both teams keen to get on the ball.

Richmond started brightly and were unlucky not to take an early lead, striking the post with a well-hit effort.
