A very Successful Thirsk and Sowerby Festival 2022...

Thirsk and Sowerby Festival Committee and local sponsors are to be highly congratulated for a revised festival on the Flatts ground at Thirsk last Sunday, 7th August, amid an increasingly warm day.

The crowds were much greater this year, despite the previous pandemic absences, and everyone made up for the missing years.

The ground was packed with eager families and visiting groups to enjoy a day out of a very large number of stalls of all types spread around the Flatts ground.

Horse riding activities were provided by Brookleigh Riding School at Aldbrough St James, who provide riding lessons and pony parties.

There were popular and free activities for the children who happily queued to explore the bouncy castle and adventure course provided by Fun4Hire.

There was a climbing tower, which proved most popular with children of all ages and both sexes.

All the fun of the numerous fair activities around the ground again were well attended, including the Cliff-hanger ride.........
