Thirsk and Sowerby Harriers...

Another fine, warm, busy weekend with plenty of options saw 5 members among 1,727 at the popular Darlington 10k, a flat, town 2-lap road race with plenty of support from locals.

Paul Atkinson was fastest in 44.23 with Chris Coates taking 47.04, Andrew Pollard 48.58, Ruth Pollard 53.10 and Hugh Jenyns going round 10k for the first time for a long time and taking 70.42.

The York 10k, run through the streets of York and the local vicinity had almost 5,000 finishers, with former member and son of Nigel, Ben Morgan, achieving a PB time of 38.27, a superb result.

Dave Kavanagh took 51.12 with Clare Tempest almost as fast, 51.16. Imogen Yates finished in 54.16 and Sara Armitage took exactly 1 hour.

Well done to all of you for running the mostly level course in an hour or less, and thanks to the residents of both places for their tolerance and support.
