Thirsk Man is skydiving for the NSPCC...

17th August, 2024.

Thirsk‘s Ben Smith has taken up a Lidl GB challenge to skydive for the National Society for the Protection of Children next month, when he will travel to Bridlington with a group who have accepted that challenge from Lidl stores around North Yorkshire in late September.

They are going to strap themselves to skydiving experts in tandem harnesses to jump out of a light aircraft at 10,000-12,000 ft in the air.

Lidl stores, their staff and customers are all in full support for this worthwhile adventure and Ben hopes he can raise a minimum of £1,000.

Lidl is in partnership with the NSPCC “Bid Dive” Skydive.

This is a big LIDL GB event called 'The Big Dive' to encourage as many colleagues as possible to take part in the fundraising efforts for the Charity!

Ben says, “My target is £1k. It’s very optimistic… but hopefully with the support of family and friends, and fundraising efforts we will get there.
