The Clarets U9’s were on home ground this weekend, hosting Catterick Garrison Comrades. The lads warmed up and were eager to get going on what was a very cold and frosty morning at SSV.

The start was fast paced from both sides, with Clarets putting in some great defence against the Comrades.

Thirsk set up several attempts with strong assists but unfortunately struggled to find the back of the net, but with some perseverance they found it! The Comrades fought on and were able to level up.

The second half saw some changes of players and some great football from the boys resulting in more goals for both sides.

The final few minutes were nail biting for both teams and supporters on the sideline alike. Resulting in a draw.........
