Thirsk’s Tasha Ghouri On Strictly...

Tasha Ghouri (originally from Thirsk) is a model and TV personality who took part in ITV’s 2022 series Love Island. She was a contestant on the BBC One’s much loved show Strictly Come Dancing which finished last Saturday.

Tasha was born deaf and was given a cochlear implant around 5 years old. She was Strictly’s second deaf contestant following Rose Ayling-Ellis win in 2021.

Tasha Ghouri was paired with Aljaž Škorjanec.

She and her partner lost in the final to Chris McCausland and his partner Dianne Buswell. Tasha has been widely praised throughout this series of “Strictly” for her dancing and enthusiasm. Well done Tasha, Photo: BBC/Ray Burmiston.
