TALKING THIRSK...

I am enjoined to celebrate the fund raising efforts over the last year of the Thirsk Ladies Club, who through various events were able to present a cheque for £5,100 to Community Works, the multifaceted charity that does so much for the people of Thirsk.

At the presentation, they also announced the focussses of their continuing efforts in 2025, the Friends of the Friarage Eye Appeal, and the Thirsk Community Library.

The club meets monthly, on the fourth Thursday of every month, at 7.30pm in the annexe of the Town Hall. The charge for each meeting, which includes that days event, as well as refreshments, is £3.

Beat that for good value, a warm welcome ( in every sense of the word) an informative event, all for less than the price that you would have to pay in any of the cafes in the town!
