In A Hurry lived up to her name when landing Division I of the Restricted Maiden Stakes to open the Thirsk Racecourse afternoon meeting last Friday.
Jockey Daniel Tudhope brought the three-year-old down the centre of the course to score readily by three and a half lengths and provide Upper Helmsley trainer David O’Meara with a further course success.
A double for Tudhope and O’Meara was prevented by a late surge from Patricia R, sent off at 12/1, and she landed Division II of the Restricted Maiden Stakes for Julie Camacho who trains in Malton.
Micheal and David Easterby recorded a quick double with topweight Canon’s House in the six furlong handicap and Miss Brazen in the Fillies’ Handicap, run over five furlongs.
