Fun Dog Show in aid of Herriot Hospice 2025...

Once again, Tracey and Bill Gilbert of Thalasgair Labrador Kennels, Sessay, organized a well attended and very popular fun dog show at Thirsk Auction Mart in aid of the Herriot Hospice funds.

The Hospice is very grateful for local support of this worthy cause by Thirsk Auction Mart and Thalasgair Kennels.

The stalls attending were Askrigg Ropemakers, as seen on BBC tv in various programmes, Handmaid Pet Enrichment, and Isla Cushions.

This year the sole judge was local Yorkshire Vet star from Channel Five’s popular series and author, Julian Norton, of Thirsk Veterinary Centre on Blakey Lane, Sowerby.

Millbry Hill Country Store and Skinner’s Dog Foods added their support for the event.

On a somewhat sultry day, a large crowd of proud dog owners and their families came along to enter their animals in the variety of competitions, in support of the Hospice work in Thirsk on Chapel Street, Thirsk. Julian was presented with two wine goblets on the day.

This popular dog show allowed a wide range of breeds and mixed varieties and all ages to show in the ring.
