Reflections from the Marathon des Sables Ultra and New Zealand parkruns...

As promised last week, we can now report on Paul Peacock’s personal reflections from the Marathon des Sables Ultra – where he covered 100 mile course in 27:14:23, coming 10th in the men’s category.

Last April, Paul completed the full Marathon des Sables, so is no stranger to the desert having run 152 miles over the course of 6 days in temperatures reaching 50 degrees.

This makes it particularly notable that upon finishing the Ultra, Paul described this as the toughest thing he’s ever done but also “what an experience”.
