Thirsk Royal British Legion Band ...

These are some of the young musicians from Thirsk Royal British Legion Band who were presented with music awards at the bands summer concert.

The children completed a booklet that has a range of questions in which helps them get a better understanding of music as a whole.

The training band is lead by Debbie Price who, with the help of Maureen Worley created the booklets and awards.

We wanted to set the awards up so that the children would receive a good grounding and be able to develop their skills, to help build their confidence, so they could gain experience of playing in a small group and have the opportunity to help each other and to be able to receive recognition of their progress and achievements................
