Sunny day welcome for Julian Norton at White Rose bookshop book signing event...

Last Saturday, in Thirsk, tv vet Julian Norton had two celebrations in the White Rose Bookshop’s beautiful garden in Thirsk: his birthday and the publication of his eighth book about life as a vet in North Yorkshire.

A large number of excited people came along to see him and get copies of his books signed on a hot and sunny day and partake of the refreshments the bookshop provided.

The numerous visitors also brought along gifts for his birthday, which he was very happy to receive.

The latest book, “Adventures with a Yorkshire Vet” tells the stories of yet more young animals he has met and treated at his practices in Wetherby and Thirsk in one year.

Julian greeted travellers of all ages, who travelled from around Great Britain and beyond.

One family group drove up from the New Forest area of Hampshire on Saturday, another Suffolk, and another young couple came all the way from Australia to see the tv vet and the district of James Herriot’s life in the old surgery in Kirkgate...............
