World Book Day Celebrations 2023 at Thirsk Community Primary School...

18th March, 2023.

YOU CAN FIND MAGIC WHEREVER YOU LOOK.

SIT BACK AND RELAX, ALL YOU NEED IS A BOOK! - Dr Seuss

To celebrate World Book Day we transformed our school hall into an indoor picnic area and held a Brilliant Book - nic!!!

BOOK - BUDDY - BISCUIT

The children were asked to bring in their favourite book and pupils in KS2 were buddied up with children from Nursery and KS1 to sit and share their most loved stories (and a biscuit) together.

There were comfy corners, cushions and blankets to snuggle up in and the hall was full of chatter as favourite stories were brought to life with lots of dramatic character voices and flair!

When not at the Book- nic, children were asked to create their own story.

Each class teacher has chosen their winning story to be announced in our celebration assembly...........
