Thirsk Falcon’s Men’s Team win against Stokelsey Sports Club F.C...

Last Saturday saw a real downpour across much of the country, which did not spoil the occasion when Thirsk Falcon’s men’s team took on Stokesley Sports Club F.C. in a home game at Sowerby Sports Village on their 3G pitch, fortunately, amid such poor conditions and relentless rain.

Both teams and the three officials had to cope with miserable visibility at times and the battle was soon on.

Thirsk led from the start in a vigorous campaign which eventually saw a pass from a Thirsk attacker across the opposition goal area neatly heel tapped past the Stokesley goalkeeper by a judiciously positioned Hayden Wilson, after ten minutes of the staring whistle...........
