Thirsk and Sowerby Harriers ...

9th March, 2024.

A small team competed at the latest NYSD cross country at Richmond, with Paul Peacock the only senior man willing to take on the tough challenge this course offers.

Unusually, there was no wind, it was sunny, and there was less mud, in other words, a piece of cake for the determined and ever present Paul who completed the lapped course of almost 10k in 39.37 minutes, 18th out of a field of 88.

A superb effort. There were 5 ladies out of a field of 88 over the shorter distance, with Kirsty Naylor 37th in 33.26, Hannah Stones 40.09, Amanda Johnson 45.00, Christine Burn 47.04 and Margaret Wikeley 49.23.

Out of the older men, running with the ladies, Rob Burn took 30.28, Geoff Bullock 36.09 Ken Evitt 41,25 and Alan Wikeley 54.25. Photo Hannah Stones.
