New BP Fuel Station Opens...

The long-awaited BP fuel station on York Road in Thirsk has opened, with the traditional ceremony of cutting a ribbon.

The development on the roundabout for the A168 supplies diesel and petrol and in addition there are 8 electric charging bays, one of them a “combi-bay” where there are additional valeting services for the discerning driver.

These bays are the underlying raison d’etre of the whole site because BP's choice of Thirsk as I understand it is based on a new model of fuel stations positioned for the electric car age...............
