FLIGHT PLAN'S COURSE TO THIRSK HUNT CUP SUCCESS...

Promptly away from the stalls, jockey Sam James sent 8/1 chance Flight Plan to lead the thirteen runner field in the feature race at Thirsk last Saturday, the Ladbrokes Thirsk Hunt Cup, covering a distance of one mile.

Keeping to the inside rail the five year old chartered the shortest course round the bends.

Emerging into the home straight the leader maintained his advantage to defy the late challenge from Hi Royal and record a half length success having made all the running to land the £25,000 prize.
