A Thirsk farming family have transformed a former potato shed into the towns’ first padel courts.

The new space, dubbed Padel Shed Thirsk, offers both a single and double court providing local access to the UK’s fastest growing sport and supports the availability of leisure services on the Sowerby Gateway development.

Tony Sowerby said “It felt like the right opportunity at the right time and the family hope to put Thirsk on the map as a destination for padel offering casual play, coaching sessions, and social events.
