Once again Thirsk is full of colour. Rotary Thirsk in Bloom have carried out their Winter-Spring planting and pansies are in flower in many parts of the town.

Also brightening up various areas are the striking displays of poppies created by the Yarn Bombers.

In the Market Place, alongside the clock tower, which is draped in poppies, are knitted tributes to those who fought in the war.

More unusually, they have included those who gave vital support to both the forces and civilians.........
