Abbie’s Walk/Wheel for Hope...

I am contacting you about a very special event that my daughter took part in on Friday 3rd November. Abbie is 7 years old and goes to a school at South Kilvington Academy. We thought her story might be of interest to you and your newspaper.

This is Abbie's 4th annual fundraiser for Pulmonary Hypertension Association UK and this year she completed a Walk/Wheel for Hope (10 laps of Sowerby sports track), mostly in her powered wheelchair called 'Ruby'.

She wanted to encourage people to see that hope moves us forward and helps us to pursue strengths and interests that make us all remarkable. She has a diagnosis of Pulmonary Hypertension but she is much much more than that!

She also wanted to raise money for her charity, who will always be there to help her and others navigate life with PH. In total, she raised £1,500 for PHA UK...
