Since the Tour de France shot through Thirsk, followed by the Tour de Yorkshire, the town has been a mecca for cyclists.

Taking advantage of this, and celebrating their first anniversary Red Sky Cycles is now established on Topcliffe Road, just beside the Aldi discount store.

Just like most other things in life, bikes are subject to tehnological inflation, as well as the financial kind.

Mountain, off road and electric bikes now cost thousands; you could only buy a set of lights for the cost of a bike in my youth.

Gemma and James gave up careers in agriculture to set up the company, and alongside their mechanic Stuart run a flourishing business, with a national reach, thanks to on-line sales...
