A Very entertaining performance at White Rose Bookshop by cellist Kenneth Wilson ...

It was a fortunate email from musician Kenneth Wilson promoting his book about a slightly puzzling challenge to himself to cycle from Hadrian’ Wall to Rome recently that ended the White Rose Bookshop’s successful birthday celebrations last weekend in Thirsk, when the owner Sue Lake invited Kenneth to come along and sign his books to an invited audience on Saturday 14th October.

A good audience came along to listen to Kenneth read extracts from his book, “Highway Cello” and entertain everyone with a cello performance at every stage. He was introduced and later thanked by Sue.

Mr. Wilson, who lives in Penrith, suddenly decided to take a fifty year old bicycle on a journey from nearby Hadrian’s Wall in the U.K. all the way to Rome, in Italy, and take his cello strapped to the back...
