Pupils and staff at Queen Mary’s School, near Topcliffe, are celebrating another year of outstanding GCSE results, with 31% of entries achieving Grade 8-9s.
This year’s excellent results highlight remarkable value-added scores allowing entry for all into their first choice of sixth form.
Destinations include Fettes College in Edinburgh, Uppingham School in Rutland and Ripon Grammar School.
Special congratulations go to Eulalie Burrows from Sowerby, who attended Queen Mary’s for 13 years. Her outstanding GCSE results, 9 subjects at Grade 9, were accompanied by a swathe of awards on Speech Day, including Mathematics, French, Latin and Physics. The Senior Speech and Drama cup, which Eulalie received jointly, reflects the diversity of her talents and as she embodies the values of Queen Mary’s School, she was also awarded the Woodard Ethos Prize.
Eulalie will head to The Mount School, after being offered the choice of an Academic or Performing Arts Scholarship.........
