Thirsk School and Sixth Form College GCSE Results ...

Students from Thirsk School and Sixth Form College have just received their GCSE results and we are so proud of them.

In a year where grade boundaries have risen significantly, around 60% of the young people in Thirsk achieved the vital grade 4 in both Maths and English.

This is a particularly significant achievement when it is considered that these students faced unprecedented disruption to their studies, with two lengthy periods of school closure impacting upon their time at school.

As a result of this, students have had to work even harder than normal to prepare for these summer exams, with many of them spending significant amounts of time at lunch, after school and in the holidays attending catch up sessions that were run by our staff.

We are very grateful to all of the students, parents and staff for their dedication in working towards these very strong results. We are so proud of all of them...
