Thirsk Rotary have helped Community Works Dementia Club by donating £1,500 to help with transport costs for a new project for people who have been diagnosed with early-onset dementia, which is affecting people as young as in their early 50’s.

Already 6 people have been helped by the Out ‘n’ About project by instead of being house bound they are enjoying outings, visiting different venues of interest to hopefully stimulate them.

Generally on a Wednesday these outings run alongside the Dementia Club on Tuesday & Thursday for people more seriously affected with Dementia Dementia diagnosis is increasing throughout the country and can affect all ages...
